

Mount Everest & Khumbu Valley - Land of the Sherpas
Autumn in Nepal is an incredibly beautiful experience and this is an annual trip that we have been organising for several years offering you the chance to see the spectacular mountains around Mount Everest. On this trip we turn off our main route several times and visit Lhotse before climbing to Kala Patthar with a close up view of Everest and surrounding peaks.

Our highest altitude on this trip will be Kala Patthar (5550m) from where you will have a face to face view of Mount Everest plus Everest's ice waterfall, zone of death, the Lo La pass, Everest Base Camp and the ice kingdom of the Khumbu Glacier. TRIP ITINERARY
No special equipment is needed for this trip to Nepal over and above the usual mountaineering equipment and there are no special requirements regarding health condition. Of course, only healthy travellers may undertake this journey, namely the travellers who are allowed to take on an increased level of activity. We will ascend to about 5600m above sea level and there will be from 4 to 6 hours of daily walking. Accommodation is in local hotels and food is also bought from the locals (in restaurants, hotels, shops); one porter per 2-3 travellers is hired to carry spare clothes and personal things when required and accommodation is included in Kathmandu at start and end of the trip.
